Amilla Maldives Resort was established in 2014 as a 5-star luxury resort, independently owned by Maldivians who sought to create a beautiful, natural private island getaway. The resort was accessibility and inclusion certified by Inclucare in 2022, in its effort to remove barriers faced by people with additional needs when visiting the Maldives.
All restaurants at the resort feature ground floor tables, ramps, and outdoor seating. Although the villas and residences are not specifically designed for guests with disabilities, many have accessible features. All Villas, with the exception of the Tree Top Villas, are located on the ground floor, and ramps can be provided upon request.
Long-stay guests can take advantage of a complimentary in-residence bar setup upon arrival with snacks, soft drinks, beers, and selected alcoholic beverages, as well as a complimentary non-alcoholic beverages in-residence mini-bar, replenished once a day, and a BBQ Beach Dinner once during their stay (excluding beverages).
The villa features luminous and breezy interiors that seamlessly blend into one another, with a central living and dining area that serves as its heart. A fully-equipped kitchen is also available, where guests can request the services of a private chef for an extra fee. For leisurely afternoons, there's a games room with various entertainment options. The décor is inspired by beachy tones and a relaxed atmosphere.
Other amenities include an Entertainment and Bose Surround Sound system, premium organic amenities, Nespresso coffee machine, gourmet teas, in-residence wine fridge, and yoga mats.
Living Areas
Step into elegant spaces that exude contemporary beach vibes. Luxuriate in ultra-comfortable beds that tempt you to linger a little longer. Wrapped in crisp quality linen and super-sized pillows, you're in for another perfect morning, perhaps even breakfast in bed.
The master suite spans 110 square metres of sheer luxury, offering the most breathtaking ocean views. A grand 2.3-metre bed commands the glass-fronted balcony, with two plush armchairs nestled in a cosy reading corner. To one side of the bedroom, wide teakwood doors slide open to reveal a statement bathtub ideally positioned for ocean-view soaking. Beyond lies an outdoor shower courtyard and a huge walk-in rain shower, leading to a dressing area with ample wardrobes, seating, and a long double-basin vanity.
The two upper-level guest suites are almost identical, with rear garden views. One suite has a king-sized bed, while the other has twin beds. Each suite boasts a private balcony with a statement bathtub concealed behind decorative screens. Comfortable living spaces, dressing areas, indoor bathrooms, and walk-in rain showers complete these chic suites.
The garden level guest suite is conveniently located adjacent to the living area and has twin beds, as well as ensuite bathrooms with rain showers.
Bedrooms
The teak-roofed al fresco dining area, complete with an eight-seater table, presents an ideal setting to relish meals with your loved ones. Right next to it, the 11m (36ft) infinity-edge pool and sundeck await you with sun loungers and day beds that beckon you to unwind. Nestled between the trees, a double hammock sways gently in the breeze. The area opens up to your very own private beach.
To cater to the needs of all guests, mobile hoists and buoyant beach chairs are readily available around the pools, and activities can be customized as per their preferences.
