8 Day Kruger Safari Tour

Avenir Light is a clean and stylish font favored by designers. It's easy on the eyes and a great go-to font for titles, paragraphs & more.

On this popular 8 day Kruger National Park tour we spend 4 days exploring the Kruger National Park. Here you have a good chance to see the Big Five and lots of other animals, plants and bird life in their natural environment.

The next 3 days are spent at a private game reserve where you will go on game drives, possibly walk/wheel with cheetahs and experience other close animal encounters.

Hear the animal calls, taste traditional food, see the famous deep-red sunsets, feel the African heartbeat, meet other travellers, have fun & lots more… all in 8 days!

DAY 1

Departing from Johannesburg, this day’s journey starts at 7am (please refer to pre-departure Information) and takes us east through the rolling hills of the Highveld. We lunch en route to the Kruger National Park which we enter from the South-West. The first two nights are spent at the main camp Skukuza.

DAY 2 - 4

We spend the next three days in the Kruger National Park. This 2 million-hectare haven is home to the Big Five and many other species of animals, birds and plants. Kruger Park is a premier local and international game park featuring excellent camps, wonderful views and tranquil settings.

The park features exciting drives through both dense bush and dry scrub. You’ll spend most of your time viewing game on early morning and evening drives, discovering its inner beauty. You’ll also indulge your photographic skills, capturing incredible memories. Our nights are spent at various main and private camps throughout the park, with the first two nights at Skukuza camp and nights three and four at Satara camp (please note this depends on availability and could change). Optional extra cost night game drive* available on request.

DAY 5 - 7

After breakfast and a morning game drive we depart from the Kruger National Park and head to a magnificent Private Game Reserve, well-known for reintroducing animals to the wild and hand-rearing orphaned animals, where we spend 3 nights. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives and bush walks/wheels, maybe even touching a wild cheetah.

Please note: Game drives in the private reserve are done in the reserves standard vehicles and we will transfer you into the standard game drive seats, we have extra straps to assist you with balance if needed. The bush walk/wheels can be difficult for wheelchair users in dry conditions, i.e. soft sand.

Dinner is served in a traditional “boma” around a blazing fire.

DAY 8

Our last day is a scenic day’s journey back to Johannesburg where you will be delivered to the airport for your evening flight home or your hotel after enjoying an incredible epic safari!
