In 2014, Amilla Maldives Resort was established as an exquisite 5-star luxury resort, privately owned by Maldivians who envisioned a stunning, natural private island retreat. In 2022, the resort earned the certification of accessibility and inclusion from Inclucare, showcasing its dedication to removing barriers faced by individuals with additional needs during their Maldives visit.

All the resort's restaurants feature ground floor tables, ramps, and outdoor seating, ensuring a comfortable dining experience for all guests. While the villas and residences are not specifically designed for guests with disabilities, many of them do have accessible features. With the exception of the Tree Top Villas, all Villas are conveniently located on the ground floor, and ramps can be provided upon request.
